Innovation improves air quality and hygiene in commercial kitchens
Ginox Swiss Kitchen has been granted a European patent for its new double-lip air intake, an innovation incorporated into the PerformAir extractor hood. This technology is designed to improve grease extraction, air intake and hygiene in commercial kitchens.
Ginox Swiss Kitchen now holds a European patent for its new double-lip air intake system. According to a LinkedIn post, this innovation complements the PerformAir cooker hood, which already utilises the Clareco biotechnological purification process and a filter system featuring clay beads.
According to the company, “the double-lip air intake, the Clareco purification process and the clay bead filter technology enable highly efficient grease separation thanks to an advanced design of the double extraction plate”. This allows for “better air extraction, a smaller footprint, lower pressure losses and consistently high hygiene standards”. Ginox emphasises that this new, patented air inlet also improves the cleanliness of the systems, extraction performance and operational safety in professional kitchen environments.
The Montreux-based manufacturer of kitchen systems and appliances aims to drive the further development of its solutions towards smarter and more efficient ventilation systems. According to the company, this European award recognises several decades of research and innovation in the field of professional ventilation technology.
