Sonja Wollkopf Walt is location manager of the year
Die Schweizerische Vereinigung für Standortmanagement SVSM hat Sonja Wollkopf Walt als Standortmanagerin des Jahres ausgezeichnet. Sie ist seit der Gründung der Greater Zurich Area 1999 für diese tätig, seit 2010 als deren Geschäftsführerin.
Sonja Wollkopf Walt is Location Manager of the Year. As announced by the Greater Zurich Area (GZA), the Swiss Association for Site Management SVSM has honoured the GZA Managing Director with this award for her commitment to the business location. Sonja Wollkopf Walt has worked for GZA since it was founded in 1999. She has been a member of the Executive Board since 2002 and Managing Director since 2010. The law graduate has also chaired the Board of Directors of TIE International since 2019 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of ti&m since 2023.
Sonja Wollkopf Walt accepted the award on behalf of her entire team at an SVSM event in Olten. “This award confirms our approach of identifying leading global companies, technologies, talents and networks, connecting them with local players and supporting their integration into the ecosystems of our economic area,” she is quoted as saying in the press release. “In this way, we create sustainable added value for our society.”
Balz Hösly, Chairman of the GZA Board of Directors, also sees the award as an honour for Sonja Wollkopf Walt as a leader. “Her nomination as Location Manager of the Year is a well-deserved recognition of her achievements in location marketing, but also of her participative management style, thanks to which she and her team have achieved tangible results for our economic region.”
The SVSM has been honouring location managers with a national reputation since 2009.
