New school building creates space for modern learning
The Althau school building is set to open soon. Once the interior work has been completed, the school is due to open on 10 August 2026 with eleven classes. The public is invited to the opening ceremony on 19 September.
The Althau school extension in Spreitenbach is in its final phase ahead of opening. According to a press release, the school is set to open on 10 August 2026 with eleven classes
The modern school building is designed to accommodate a total of 15 classes. Five learning studios, each with space for 58 pupils, promote contemporary, flexible forms of learning. The need for the new school building arose due to sustained population growth and the associated rise in pupil numbers.
Furnishing of the school building is due to be completed in July. The new caretaker, Goran Papic, has taken up his post and will oversee the final inspections and any necessary rectification of defects, as well as supporting the transition to regular operations.
The public is invited to the opening ceremony on 19 September to view the new school building and see for themselves the learning opportunities available to the pupils.
