Longemale gets 127 flats back on track

The start of construction was preceded by a lengthy planning process. The local development plan for Longemale was approved by the Conseil général in Pomy as early as the end of 2017, but did not come into force until 17 November 2020. Subsequently, the local council granted a building lease for plot 276 to the Prisma Foundation, which is now having the development carried out through its Prisma Previous Responsible Residential Real Estate investment fund.

The project is situated on the outskirts of Yverdon-les-Bains in the Longemale area, next to the Orif training centre. The site, covering approximately 18,500 square metres, is earmarked for eleven blocks of flats comprising 127 flats, as well as space for neighbourhood amenities. The first flats are due to be let from 2028.

Focus on energy and use
A diverse mix of housing is planned, including flats for older people. An energy network, heat pumps and photovoltaic systems are planned to supply energy. All buildings are to meet the Minergie standard, and locally generated electricity will be used for self-consumption via a joint venture.

Capital flowing into several construction sites
The project is also of interest to institutional investors. In June 2025, Gefiswiss announced a capital increase of 40 million Swiss francs for the Prisma Previous Responsible Residential Real Estate investment group. The funds were to be channelled into ongoing projects in Saint-Aubin, Pomy, Monthey and Marly. A total of more than 500 flats are planned for these four sites by 2029.

Longemale thus demonstrates how a planning case that had been stalled for years can be transformed into a concrete, funded housing project. For Pomy, the neighbourhood is not only an additional residential area on the border with Yverdon-les-Bains, but also a densification scheme on municipal land with a social and energy-efficient focus.
