The new retirement centre Wohnen am Stadtpark will be built in a central location in Schlieren by 2029. The retirement centre was designed by architects Liechti Graf Zumsteg and will include retirement flats as well as care beds to enable people to live independently into old age, according to the project description. According to a press release, Schlieren-based maneth stiefel ag will be responsible for the electrical systems, building automation and specialist construction management.

The new project will replace the ageing Sandbühl retirement centre with a future-oriented living and care concept. Wohnen am Stadtpark will offer 60 modern retirement flats for more mobile individuals and couples as well as 28 care beds for people with higher support needs. Care, support, meals, cleaning and laundry will be customised according to the individual needs of the residents. The facility will also be complemented by a public restaurant with a café and a new playground, which will encourage encounters between all generations.

“We are proud to be able to support this important project at our company headquarters with our expertise and thus make a contribution to a liveable, intergenerational environment,” said maneth stiefel in the press release.

Construction work is expected to be completed by the end of 2028 to enable the company to move in from mid-2029.
