New production facility strengthens market presence in the north-east of the USA

Sika has opened a production facility for mortar products in the US state of New Jersey. According to the speciality chemicals company, the plant is the largest of its kind in the USA and serves to supply important metropolitan regions in the north-east of the country.

Sika has opened a large-scale mortar production plant in Bridgeton. According to a company statement, the plant is the largest and most modern of its kind in the USA. Specifically, the site is used for the production of repair and levelling mortar, technical mortar, tile adhesive and shotcrete solutions. With its portfolio, Sika is targeting both new infrastructure projects and the growing demand for refurbishment in commercial construction and infrastructure.

This broad range of solutions is intended to directly address metropolitan areas in the northeastern United States. In infrastructure centres such as New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., Sika aims to serve customers with industry-leading products and meet the growing demand for innovative mortar solutions and shotcrete systems. The construction of the new facility is in line with the company’s long-term strategy to drive sustainable growth, world-class efficiency and increasing market share in the US.
