New modernisation solutions extend the service life of existing lifts
Schindler Elevators has launched two modernisation packages for ageing hydraulic lifts in the USA: Schindler ReStore and Schindler ReNew. This enables building owners to proactively modernise their lifts before repair costs are incurred or lifts have to be replaced altogether.
Schindler from Ebikon is presenting two modernisation offers for its lifts: ReStore and ReNew. With ReStore and ReNew, building owners can proactively tackle the modernisation of outdated hydraulic lifts, according to a press release from Schindler’s American subsidiary based in Morristown, New Jersey. By replacing outdated control systems with the latest microprocessor technology and advanced components, Schindler ReStore and Schindler ReNew offer an efficient and cost-effective alternative to replacing the entire lift.
The Schindler ReStore modernisation package includes a Schindler controller with soft start, standardised hall and car operating elements, complete cabling in the shaft and machine room and fully integrated digital connectivity. An optional upgrade of the door drive can be added. According to Schindler, ReStore is particularly suitable for lifts that have been in operation for 15 to 25 years. The Schindler ReNew package builds on the ReStore offering and is suitable for installations that have been in operation for more than 25 years.
“Schindler ReStore and Schindler ReNew enable owners and operators to proactively address the modernisation of ageing hydraulic lifts before breakdowns or spare parts availability become an issue. These solutions increase reliability, reduce unexpected costs and give our customers more planning security for their budget and investments,” says Joe Bera, Senior Vice President Modernisation Sales at Schindler.
