Monique Bosco-von Allmen (Rome, 1966), a graduate architect from ETHZ, a member of the SIA (Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects), graduated with a degree in architecture from ETHZ (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich) in 1992, after completing a two-year internship at Mario Botta’s firm and spending a semester at CEPT University in Ahmedabad, India.

After gaining work experience in Zurich and then in Milan at the Antonio Citterio&Partners firm, she opened her own design studio in 1998, focusing primarily on the renovation of residential and office spaces and designing homes primarily constructed of wood.

Upon returning to Lugano in 2012, she taught as a design assistant at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio under Professor Antonio Citterio. Since March 2025, she has been teaching design at the “Institute of Architectural Sciences” at TU Wien (Technische Universität Wien).
Since 2015, she has also been involved in the development of public housing in Ticino, and since 2017 she has served as president of CASSI, the Italian-speaking Swiss regional association of the Mantello Association of Swiss Housing Cooperatives.
Since 2021, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of Alloggi Ticino SA.
She describes herself as dedicated to political architecture.
