Acquisition strengthens building technology expertise in the infrastructure sector
The Burkhalter Group has announced the acquisition of Progressio Holding GmbH from Tamins and its subsidiary anplaq ag. The aim of the acquisition is to further develop anplaq, which specialises in energy and water infrastructure, within a larger company.
The Burkhalter Group, a full-service provider of interdisciplinary building technology from Zurich, has acquired Progressio Holding GmbH, based in Tamins. As part of the purchase agreement, the Burkhalter Group is also taking over the subsidiary anplaq ag, the company explains in a press release.
Anplaq ag specialises in plant, apparatus and pipeline construction and plans, manufactures and installs systems, particularly for energy, district heating, drinking water and wastewater projects. With around 30 employees, the company generates annual sales of around CHF 8.5 million. The integration into the Burkhalter Group is intended to further strengthen anplaq ag’s market position and promote its development within a larger corporate structure. The company name will be retained and all employees will be taken over.
As part of the transaction, around 38,000 new registered shares of Burkhalter Holding Ltd will be issued from the existing capital band, excluding shareholders’ subscription rights. In addition, the seller of Progressio Holding GmbH has undertaken not to sell two thirds of the shares received for a period of two years as part of a lock-up agreement.
The Burkhalter Group is a full-service provider of interdisciplinary building technology, particularly in the areas of heating and cooling, ventilation and air conditioning, sanitary and electrical engineering.
