10 Years of SVIT Young Zurich
Zurich, 2026 – SVIT Young Zurich celebrated its tenth anniversary on September 11. What began in 2015 as a workshop for apprentices and young employees has evolved into a well-established platform for fostering young talent, professional development, and networking within Zurich’s real estate industry.
It all began with a workshop organized by SVIT Zurich in November 2015. Twenty-seven young professionals discussed their expectations of employers and the association, as well as their career prospects. A key finding: Young people want to play an active role in shaping their future in the industry and are looking for support with continuing education, career planning, and networking.
This dialogue gave rise to the idea of a youth commission. On June 14, 2016, SVIT Young Zurich was officially founded. From the very beginning, the focus has been on developing programs not just for young professionals, but together with them.
From a youth development project to an established platform
Over the past ten years, SVIT Young Zürich has continuously expanded its offerings.Recurring focal points include career information and trial programs, the QV Campus for exam preparation, informational events on vocational training and continuing education, as well as regular after-work gatherings. These have been supplemented by, among other things, intergenerational projects, international exchange opportunities, and new practice-oriented educational offerings.
Support for young talent continued even during the COVID-19 pandemic: in 2020, the campus program for preparing for final apprenticeship exams was held online. In the years that followed, the program was expanded once again and supplemented with offerings such as “Brush-up in Accounting,” the “Mediator” seminar, supported learning during the apprenticeship, and the “Kick-off Real Estate Apprenticeship.”
Ten Years of Commitment to the Next Generation
Today, SVIT Young Zürich stands for the consistent support of the next generation. Career guidance, exam preparation, training and continuing education, networking, and hands-on support have been the cornerstones of the platform for the past ten years.
The 2026 anniversary thus marks not only ten years of SVIT Young Zurich, but also ten years of intergenerational dialogue and a sustained commitment to the next generation of the real estate industry.
