Come <a href=\"https:\/\/actu.epfl.ch\/news\/biomass-driven-technology-allows-for-enhanced-ener\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">riporta l&#8217;<\/a> EPFL, hanno sviluppato un metodo mediante il quale i flussi locali di biomassa possono essere integrati nelle reti elettriche e nei gasdotti.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\"> Il sistema pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per generare e immagazzinare elettricit\u00e0 e gas naturale. Pu\u00f2 essere particolarmente utile in combinazione con altri sistemi di energia rinnovabile locali ma dipendenti dal clima come pannelli solari e parchi eolici, colmando qualsiasi lacuna nella produzione di elettricit\u00e0. I loro modelli sono stati calcolati sulla base di un caso di studio danese e italiano.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\"> &#8220;Il nostro obiettivo era sviluppare un approccio efficace al bilanciamento della rete che si basi maggiormente sulle energie rinnovabili&#8221;, spiega Maria Perez Fortes, responsabile dello studio. &#8220;L&#8217;elettricit\u00e0 viene consumata quando la fornitura \u00e8 elevata (per immagazzinarla come gas) e generata quando la fornitura \u00e8 bassa.&#8221; Questo \u00e8 il motivo per cui il team ha deciso di utilizzare celle a ossido solido reversibili, &#8220;l&#8217;unica tecnologia Pu\u00f2 cambiare la generazione di elettricit\u00e0 e gas &#8220;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\"> Gli scienziati del GEM sono specializzati in questa tecnologia, che pu\u00f2 sia immagazzinare elettricit\u00e0 come metano (Power2Gas) sia riconvertire il metano in elettricit\u00e0, con alti rendimenti in entrambe le direzioni.
