In order to remedy the acute lack of space at Zurich Opera House, construction of a temporary bridging building will begin in July 2024. This step is part of the "Future Opera" project, which includes the long-term renovation and expansion of the historic building.

An important milestone has been reached in the "Future Kunstmuseum Bern" construction project: the architectural firm Schmidlin Architekten (Zurich and Engadin) has won the international competition for the renovation and extension of the Kunstmuseum Bern. Their winning project, "Eiger", envisages a striking new building with a timeless appeal that blends harmoniously into the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The project creates a lively ensemble of buildings around a museum square that opens up to Hodlerstrasse and the Aare slope and offers new meeting spaces for art and the public.

Schaffhausen is planning a comprehensive redesign of the Rhine embankment promenade to make the town more attractive and liveable. A new connecting road will make it possible to divert motorised traffic so that the banks of the Rhine can be used for leisure, living and tourism. The project is a decisive step towards future-oriented urban development.
