Laying of the foundation stone as a symbolic moment The indoor swimming pool, which is scheduled for completion in mid-2027, will include an Olympic pool with a moving floor, a diving pool and a swimming channel. <\/strong>The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone on 15 May 2024 marks the start of construction work on the new indoor swimming pool. This event will be attended by important personalities such as Ticino Cantonal Councillor Marina Carobbio Guscetti, FOSPO Director Matthias Remund and BBL Deputy Director Martin Fr\u00f6sch. <\/strong>With an investment volume of CHF 91.8 million, approved by the Federal Assembly at the end of 2021, the swimming centre in Tenero will become a central hub for the development of swimming in Switzerland.
