Halter AG of<\/a> Schlierem has pushed ahead with the Schützengütli site project in two steps, according to a media release<\/a>. After the urban planning, a study contract was awarded for the architectural planning. Of the six participating teams, Daniel Cavelti Architektur<\/span> AG<\/a> from St.Gallen came out on top. The study, called Zauberwald, will now be further developed.<\/p>\n

In addition to representatives of the municipality and landowner Halter, the jury also included several experts. They agreed that the winning design fits perfectly into the surrounding neighbourhood. In addition to 54 condominiums, which will be realised in several buildings, the design envisages a spacious inner courtyard that will be lushly planted in accordance with its name, Zauberwald. If construction begins in 2026, the flats could be completed in 2028.<\/p>\n

Until a few years ago, the site was used for production by the Laumann und Co malt factory and fruit pressing plant. The plans by Daniel Cavelti Architektur<\/span> call for a chimney to be retained as a reminder of the previous use of the Schützengütli site.
