"During the development, we had in mind a system that was flexible in every respect, which enables optimal business processes and visitor flows, regardless of whether it is a small shop, an administration building or a large industrial plant," explains Spering. Particularly practical: thanks to the VdS approval of the control device as a switching device for an intruder alarm system, access control and intruder alarm technology can be linked in an economical and VdS-compliant manner, as required by building property insurance companies.<\/p>
<\/strong> The basic principle of the access control system is simple: everyone who wants to enter the building is checked before they enter. If someone is not authorized, they are not allowed in. The complexity is hidden in the details: For companies, for example, it is important that all employees can enter the company premises without delay. However, if there are areas that should only be accessible to certain groups of people, the same access control system must also regulate such authorization solutions. And this, if necessary, with a time limit or under other predefined conditions. Since the component has no direct access to the evaluation and control unit (i.e. it is offline), the transponder is also used for data transfer between the online and offline system.
