The building materials group LafargeHolcim<\/a> and the Texan Schlumberger New Energy<\/a> want to find a solution for capturing and storing CO2 using the example of two LafargeHolcim cement plants. Using Schlumberger's CO2 sequestration technologies, the two companies plan to develop a concept for large-scale industrial use. Both are already active in this field. LafargeHolcim claims that it is currently testing more than 20 capture projects in Europe and North America. The group wants to identify the most promising, highly scalable projects.
