Zug-based Holcim AG<\/a> intends to significantly expand its portfolio in the recycling of building materials in Europe. According to a press release<\/a>, the international building materials company has acquired two demolition companies in England and Germany and is preparing to take over a third in north-west France. These three companies currently recycle 1.3 million tons of construction waste annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The new acquisitions include Thames Materials<\/a> from West London and A&S Recycling GmbH<\/a> from Hanover. The company, which operates in north-west France, has not yet been named by Holcim. With Thames Materials, Holcim is now operating in the Greater London area. Holcim had already acquired the logistics company Sivyer Logistics in East London in 2023. A&S Recyling processes demolition materials in northern Germany with three locations in the German state of Lower Saxony. With the takeover of the French company, Holcim is increasing the number of recyclers it manages in the country to 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
