EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg<\/a> has selected the winning project and construction management for the extension and expansion of its terminal. According to a press release<\/a>, it has commissioned a French-Swiss team for the project, consisting of the Basel-based companies Vischer Architekten AG<\/a> and Gruner AG<\/a> as well as the French companies DRLW Architectes<\/a>, Egis B\u00e2timent<\/a>NordEst<\/a>and LAP’S<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Evolution Modulaire du Terminal project<\/a> involves the renovation and expansion of EuroAirport’s publicly accessible infrastructure. The main aim of the project is to improve the quality of service for passengers. The work will focus on security checks and passenger routing. The first Landside module, with construction scheduled to start in 2027, will comprise an extension to the east fa\u00e7ade of the terminal with an area of around 14,000 square metres and the renovation of the existing terminal with an area of 15,000 square metres.<\/p>\n

Completion of the building is scheduled for 2030\/31. Until then, the airport intends to implement further measures to improve service quality by 2026.
